This standard applies for the design and operating limits of drill strings containing aluminium alloy pipes manufactured in accordance with DIN EN ISO 15546. German Working Committee NA 109-00-01 AA "Materialien, Ausrüstungen und Offshore-Bauwerke für die Erdöl-, petrochemische und Erdgasindustrie - Spiegelausschuss zu CEN/TC 12 und ISO/TC 67" ("Materials, equipment and offshore structures for petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries - Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 12 and ISO/TC 67") of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Industries Standards Committee (NÖG) of DIN, the German Institute for Standardization e. V. has participated in the preparation of the standard.
