Overview

The VG standard documents shackles, bow design, made of non-magnetizable steel which are primarily used on vessels. The document specifies the designation, dimensions, masses, materials for the nominal sizes 0,35 up to and including 5 as well as the requirements and designs by indicating the mechanical properties. The manufacturer shall verify tests with associated certificates and markings as a part of quality assurance measures. Swivel hackles according to this standard require approval according to VG 95211.
