Overview
This document (EN 15492:2012) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 19 "Gaseous and liquid fuels, lubricants and related products of petroleum, synthetic and biological origin", the secretariat of which is held by NEN (Netherlands). The responsible German committee is NA 062-06-32-04 UA, Mirror committee of CEN/TC 19 TF - "Analytik und Spezifikation von Ethanol und E85" ("Analytics and specification of Ethanol and E 85") of the Fachausschuss Mineralöl- und Brennstoffnormung (FAM) (Standardization Committee for petroleum, fuels, lubricants and related products (FAM)) of the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP) at DIN. This document specifies an ion chromatographic method for the determination of inorganic chloride content (chloride) in ethanol in the range of about 1 mg/kg to about 30 mg/kg and of sulfate content in ethanol in the range of about 1 mg/kg to about 20 mg/kg.
