High-current test techniques - Definitions and requirements for test currents and measuring systems (IEC 62475:2010); German version EN 62475:2010
Hochstrom-Prüftechnik - Begriffe und Anforderungen für Hochstrom-Messungen (IEC 62475:2010); Deutsche Fassung EN 62475:2010
Overview
This new standard is a basic horizontal standard of high-current test techniques. It also contains, in addition to the requirements for pulsed currents and their measurement systems, requirements for steady-state and short-time direct current and steady-state and short-time alternating current described in the previous edition of DIN EN 60060-2 (VDE 0432-2):1996-03. In general, currents above 100 A are considered although currents less than this can also occur in tests. In addition to terms and parameters with tolerances, a method for determination of uncertainty for high-current measurement systems is described. The requirements for a complete measurement system for high-current test techniques are harmonized with the requirements of DIN EN 60060-2 (VDE 0432-2):2011-10. The standard describes the methods which shall be applied for recognition of a measurement system and control of its components. Thereby several options are provided. It also describes a method by means of which a user shall prove that a measurement system, including the limits for the measurement uncertainty set forth, meets the requirements of this standard.
