Abstract

This book reviews the literature (articles and patents) on aluminium electrolysis using inert anodes published in the period from 1980 up until 2007. For each type of anode (ceramic, cermet or metallic) the method of preparation, physico-chemical and electrochemical properties, corrosion studies and pilot cell tests are presented.
