Fertilizers - Determination of N-(2-nitrophenyl)phosphoric triamide (2-NPT) in urea and fertilizers containing urea - Method using high-performance liquid chromatographie (HPLC); German version EN 16075:2011

Title (German)

Düngemittel - Bestimmung von N-(2-Nitrophenyl)Phosphorsäure-Triamid (2-NPT) in Harnstoff und harnstoffhaltigen Düngemitteln - Verfahren mit Hochleistungs-Flüssigchromatographie (HPLC); Deutsche Fassung EN 16075:2011

Overview

The European Standard has been prepared under the mandate M/418 given to CEN by the European Commission. It contains a method for the determination of N-(2-nitrophenyl)phosphoric triamide (2-NPT) in urea or in fertilizers containing urea using reversed phase HPLC. The sample fertilizer is dissolved in water or extracted with water and the 2-NPT content in the solution is determined using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with an UV detector. The method has been validated on the European level in an inter-laboratory test with 11 participating laboratories. The statistical results of this inter-laboratory test are given in informative Annex A. The standard has been prepared by CEN/TC 260 "Fertilizers and liming materials" (secretariat: DIN). The national Mirror Committee is Working Committee NA 057-03-02 AA "Düngemittel" ("Fertilizers") of NAL.
