Overview
Spreader bars according to this standard are used on ship-to-shore gangways for floating equipment of the Deutsche Marine (German Navy) and are part of the ship-to-shore gangways. They are used for the spreading-out and fixing of safety nets according to VG 85249-1 in the working position on the land side if the port facility has no suitable fixing points. The designs and the materials to be used are specified in this standard in order to ensure interchangeability.
