Passive filter units for electromagnetic interference suppression - Part 1: Generic specification (IEC 60939-1:2010); German version EN 60939-1:2010
Passive Filter für die Unterdrückung von elektromagnetischen Störungen - Teil 1: Fachgrundspezifikation (IEC 60939-1:2010); Deutsche Fassung EN 60939-1:2010
Overview
This generic specification applies for passive filter units for electromagnetic interference suppression for use in or in connection with electronic or electrical apparatuses and machines. The scope of this generic specification includes both single-channel and multi-channel filters in an enclosure. The scope of this specification includes filters consisting of capacitive elements where inductivities are part of the design of the filter. The scope of this generic specification also includes filters consisting of capacitive elements where capacities are part of the design. The manufacturers should state if their components are designed as a capacitor, inductor or filter. Filters which are within the scope of this generic specification are further distinguished in filters which are necessary for the safety tests (for example, filters which are connected to the power supply), and filters which are not suitable for such tests. Passive filter units for which it is appropriate to conduct safety tests are dealt with in a separate sectional specification. This generic specification determines base concepts as well as control and test procedures for the application in sectional and detail specifications within the IECQ-CECC system for electronic components. The responsible Committee is K 623 "Funk-Entstörmittel" ("Means for suppression of radio interference") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
