Overview
This standard has been prepared by NA 002-00-14 AA "Beschichtungsstoffe und Beschichtungen für Luft- und Raumfahrt" ("Coatings and coating materials for aerospace") of the Coatings and Coating Materials Standards Committee (NAB), in collaboration with NA 131-02-04 AA "Oberflächenschutz" ("Surface protection") of the Aerospace Standards Committee (NL). Table 1 of this standard specifies the methods for testing the physical and mechanical characteristics of paints and varnishes being utilized in aircraft, if reference is made to them in the Technical Specifications, material specifications or orders.
