Overview

This standard applies to refrigerators for conserved blood which are outfitted with equipment for the production of cold conditions and serve for the storage of chilled blood and blood component preparations for transfusion purposes at a temperature of 2 °C to 6 °C. The temperature of the installation room lies in a range of 10 °C to 35 °C. The relative humidity may amount to up to 75 %. The Committee responsible for this standard is NA 063-02-06 AA "Kühl- und Gefriergeräte für Arzneimittel" ("Refrigerators and freezers for medicinal products") at DIN.
