DIN EN 15927
Services offered by hearing aid professionals; German version EN 15927:2010
Dienstleistungen in der Hörakustik; Deutsche Fassung EN 15927:2010
Overview
The aim of this European Standard is that the clients benefit from services offered by hearing aid professionals. This standard describes the process of hearing aid provision from the first client contact to the long term follow-up. This standard also defines requirements for education, equipment and code of conduct. A quality management system with the overall objective of securing client satisfaction and covering all elements of the service is an essential part of the requirements. This standard centres on the services offered to the majority of clients with hearing impairment. Other groups such as children, persons with other disabilities or clients with cochlear implants may require services which are beyond the activities described in this standard. The responsible Committee is Joint Subcommittee GUK 821.6 "Hörgeräte und audiometrische Messtechnik" ("Hearing aids and audiometric measurements") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
