Title (German)

Textilien - Farbechtheitsprüfungen - Teil E09: Farbechtheit gegen siedendes Wasser (Pottingechtheit) (ISO 105-E09:2010); Deutsche Fassung EN ISO 105-E09:2010

Overview

This part of ISO 105 specifies a method for determining the resistance of the colour of textiles of all kinds and in all forms to the action of boiling water. This standard is mainly applicable to wool and textiles containing wool. A specimen of the textile between adjacent fabrics is rolled around a glass rod and treated with boiling water. The specimen and the adjacent fabrics are dried separately. The change in colour of the specimen and the staining of the adjacent fabrics are assessed with the grey scales or instrumentally. This document (EN ISO 105-E09:2010) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 38 "Textiles", in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 248 "Textiles and textile products", the secretariat of which is held by the BSI (United Kingdom). The Committee responsible for this standard is NA 062-05-11 AA "Farbechtheit von Textilien - Deutsche Echtheitskommission DEK" ("Colour Fastness of Textiles - German Colour Fastness Committee") at DIN.
