DIN EN ISO 28927-3
Hand-held portable power tools - Test methods for evaluation of vibration emission - Part 3: Polishers and rotary, orbital and random orbital sanders (ISO 28927-3:2009); German version EN ISO 28927-3:2009

Title (German)

Handgehaltene motorbetriebene Maschinen - Messverfahren zur Ermittlung der Schwingungsemission - Teil 3: Poliermaschinen sowie Rotationsschleifer, Schwingschleifer und Exzenterschleifer (ISO 28927-3:2009); Deutsche Fassung EN ISO 28927-3:2009

Overview

((DIN EN ISO 28927-1 DIN EN ISO 28927-2 DIN EN ISO 28927-3 DIN EN ISO 28927-5 DIN EN ISO 28927-6 DIN EN ISO 28927-7 DIN EN ISO 28927-8 DIN EN ISO 28927-9)) The DIN EN ISO 28927 standard series are revisions of the DIN EN ISO 8662 standard series "Hand-held portable power tools - Measurement of vibrations at the handle", whereas the distribution of the machine types among individual standards has been partially changed. Other parts of the standard series are in preparation, the parts 4, 10 and 11 of which have already been published as drafts. The methods indicated are based on the basic requirements of DIN EN ISO 20643 "Mechanical vibration - Hand-held and hand-guided machinery - Principles for evaluation of vibration emission", and are used to establish vibration emission values. Therewith the so-measured vibration emission value meets the requirements of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC which has been exclusively valid since the end of December 2009; it shall be indicated in the technical documentation of the machine and enables the consumer to select a low-vibration device. With respect to the DIN EN ISO 8662 standard series mainly the following changes have been made: a) vibration measurement in three axes and at both hand positions; b) use of new transducer positions; c) revised specification of the measurement directions. Furthermore, the operating conditions for the vibration measurement have been changed for some machine types. The International Standards which form the basis for these German standards have been prepared by ISO/TC 118/SC 3 "Pneumatic tools and machines", in collaboration with CEN/TC 231 "Mechanical vibration and shock". CEN published them as European Standards without any alterations. The responsible German committee is Committee NA 001-03-07-02 (NALS/VDI C 7.2) "Hand-Arm-Schwingungen" ("Hand-arm vibration").
