Overview
This standard is applicable for the planning of electrical installations in residential buildings (for instance, apartment houses, row houses, single family homes) as well as for associated electrical installations outside of buildings, excepting equipment in service rooms and technical service installations. It is applicable for residential buildings in semi-industrial use. It shall be used analogously for buildings with similar requirements for the electrical equipment. This standard is also applicable for installations equipped with building systems technology. No specifications regarding transfer technology for information-and communication applications are laid down. The following modifications have been made with respect to DIN 18015-1:2007-09: a) EMC requirements have been taken into account in the remarks in section "Hauptstromversorgung und Hauptleitungen" ("Main power supply and mains"); b) the requirements for energy efficiency measure have been updated and supplemented regarding production installations and charging options for electric vehicles ;c) the pipeline network of the distribution installations for radio as well as information and communication have been adapted to current requirements; d) examples for pipeline networks for communication installations (information and communication technology (IuK) and radio and communication technology(RuK)) have been updated in normative Annex A; e) an example for the components for charging electric vehicles has been included in informative Annex B; f) the terms have been updated and brought in line with DIN 18015-2; g) the standard has been editorially revised.
