ConCirMy

Configurator for the Circular Economy

As part of the "ConCirMy" project, a configurator tailored to the needs of the circular economy was developed using the example of tire production. DIN was responsible for standardization within the project and, in addition to researching relevant standards, also identified potential needs in the context of tire recycling.

Within ConCirMy, the DIN SPEC 91474 Data format for the exchange of LCA results for the configuration of modular variant-rich products was developed. DIN SPEC 91474 defines data fields that provide a framework for the provision of environmental information on industrial products. This creates the preconditions for simplified data exchange of LCA results and enables automated data collection for modular products. At the same time, the environmental impact of individual components can be better compared with each other. With the aim of standardized documentation and dissemination of information on environmental impacts across industries, such a format can also become part of a digital product passport.
