Luftgestützte Gasferndetektionsverfahren
Luftgestützte Gasferndetektionsverfahren
Brief description
This Code of Practice specifies requirements and test criteria for remote gas detection methods that are integrated in aircraft (helicopters or airplanes) and are used for the above-ground inspection of buried natural gas transport pipelines suitable for airborne remote gas detection, both inside and outside built-up areas. Portable hand-held measuring devices or methods combined with motor vehicles are not dealt with here, as they are subject to different requirement criteria compared to airborne detection due to their shallow observation angle to the surface. The same applies to continuously emitting laser systems.
