Elements of the project
The project will provide an overview of the status quo of standardization in the field of hydrogen technologies, identify requirements and challenges for the entire value chain and, deriving from this, formulate needs for action for future standardization. Based on these proposals, specific standardization projects will be initiated and implemented.
Another approach is active networking with the large number of current activities, initiatives and projects in the field of hydrogen technologies relating to the topic of standardization. This is an important point to build on existing work, to avoid duplication of effort and to form a far-reaching standardization network also at European and international level.
Due to the large number of sectors, bodies and stakeholders to be involved, a standardization roadmap offers a proven instrument for drawing up the necessary measures. It involves all relevant stakeholders in the field of hydrogen technology and draws up a coordinated roadmap for the necessary standardization activities and other needs for action.
