Implementation of Results (Roadmap 2nd edition)
Call for cooperation
Interest in the second edition of the Standardization Roadmap AI was huge. More than 900 people registered for the event on 26 January 2023 for the presentation of results and the kick-off for the implementation of the second edition of the Standardization Roadmap AI. Speakers from politics, industry, science and standardization provided insights into the results of the Roadmap, AI standardization activities that are currently underway, and the future course of action as regards implementation of the Roadmap. As the, now published, second edition of the Roadmap AI deals significantly with the draft Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act) published by the European Commission, an explanatory film on the subject provides interesting insights into how the AI Act and standardization interact.
You can find all further information about the event here.
What next?
The publication of the Roadmap will be followed by the implementation of your results. An important building block will now be to address the topics and requirements identified in the relevant standardization bodies. The central objective of the implementation is to adapt or supplement the existing body of standards according to the recommendations for action, and to develop new AI standards and specifications.
