Overview
The text of ISO 2739:2006 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 119 "Powder metallurgy" ("Pulvermetallurgie") of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been adopted as EN ISO 2739:2010. The responsible German Committee is Working Committee NA 145-01-03 AA "Probenahme und Prüfverfahren für Sintermetalle (ausgenommen Hartmetalle)" ("Sampling and testing methods for sintered metal materials (excluding hardmetals)") of the Technology of Materials Standards Committee (NWT). This International Standard specifies a method of measuring the radial crushing strength of sintered metal parts in the form of hollow cylinders, commonly known as bushes. This method is applicable to sintered bushes composed of pure or alloyed metal powders. With respect to the DIN ISO 2739:1996-09, a clause regarding precision statements (Statement of Accuracy) has been added and the standard editorially revised.
