Production, playback and preservation of motion picture and sound
The working group NA 149-00-03 AA "Production, playback and preservation of motion picture and sound" is responsible for the development of standards in the field of analogue and digital cinematography. The activities concerning sound and motion picture also include the standardization of analogue and digital recording, processing, preservation and playback. Furthermore technical equipment and workplaces and thus the workflow (Postproduction) for motion picture and sound editing in film and television are standardized, including the safety-relevant parameters. NA 149-00-03 AA serves as the national mirror committee to ISO/TC 36 "Cinematography" for the international standardization work and the DIN secretariat of CEN/TC 457 "Digital preservation of cinematographic works".
