Overview
This standard applies as an overview for ships and marine structures of their connection types (flanges and couplings) for the transfer or discharge of liquid media, in particular drinking water, fire-fighting water, waste water, oils and oil-containing mixtures, which are prescribed by international agreements or regulations or which are also applied. The responsible committee is Working Committee NA 132-02-04 AA "Wasserversorgung und -entsorgung" ("Potable water and drainage systems") at DIN Standards Committee Shipbuilding and Marine Technology (NSMT).
