Overview
This series of standards lays down shape and meaning of graphical symbols in the technical documentation for scheme-drawings and plans such as general sketches and similar abstract descriptions for seagoing vessels, inland vessels, vessels of the Deutsche Marine (German Navy), national authorities as well as for offshore-units. This standard lays down shape and meaning of graphical symbols for shut-off parts, controlling parts and regulating parts for piping systems. The new edition of this generic standard is primarily aimed at shipyards and suppliers to shipyards. Working Committee NA 132-05-02 AA "Graphische Symbole" ("Graphical symbols") at DIN is responsible for this standard.
