Overview
This standard specifies the dimensions, masses and materials for shut-off valves and non-return valves with 24° connection for bore type W in accordance with DIN 3861. These valves are preferably used in pipelines with copper and wrought copper alloy pipes for nominal pressures up to PN 40. The valves of material class Rg N are suitable for the flow media water, steam, oil and fuel at operating temperatures up to 225 °C; the valves of material class Rg S are also suitable for the flow medium seawater at temperatures up to 60 °C. The responsible committee for this standard is NA 132-02-06 AA "Rohrleitungsarmaturen" ("Fittings armatures") at DIN.
