Overview
This International Standard specifies the information necessary for the safe operation of the craft which shall be contained in a manual for owners of small craft with a hull length of up to 24 m. This standard has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association in order to provide a means of meeting the essential requirements of the Recreational Craft Directive in accordance with the new conception of EU Directive 94/25/EC as amended by 2003/44/EC. This consolidated version includes Amendment 1 according to which the printed version of the owner's manual is no longer required. However, the manufacturer shall provide a measure to enable the handbook to be printed.
