Overview
This standard is applicable to dimensions for which no tolerances are provided, as well as to tolerances of form and position related to shipbuilding with metallic materials. The tolerances in this standard can be met with the usual production methods with a justifiable production effort and provide a basis for construction, quality assurance and acceptance. Part 2 of this standard specifies the dimensional, form and positional tolerances for sections of hulls and superstructures and deckhouses.
