Overview
Detachable rail sections according to this standard are used on ship-to-shore and ship-to-ship gangways for floating equipment of the Deutsche Marine (German Navy) and are part of the detachable railings. They prevent persons from falling down. These detachable rail sections are easy to remove for space saving storage of ship-to-shore and ship-to-ship gangways. The designs and the materials to be used are specified in this standard in order to ensure interchangeability.
