DIN Standards Committee Shipbuilding and Marine Technology

Overview

Ropes for railings according to this standard are used on ship-to-shore gangways for floating equipment of the Deutsche Marine (German Navy) and are part of the detachable railings. They prevent persons from falling down. These ropes for railings are easy to remove for space saving storage of ship-to-shore gangways. The designs and the materials to be used are specified in this standard in order to ensure interchangeability.
