Overview
The test method described in this document permits the determination of the quantity of water that can be absorbed by the surface of paper or board in a given time. Water absorptiveness is a function of various paper and board characteristics such as sizing, porosity etcetera. It has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 6 "Paper, board and pulps" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 172 "Pulp, paper and board" the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
