Overview
This document specifies the procedure for the determination of specimen breakdown (end-point of test) by inspection at fixed intervals and is applicable to all textile fabrics including nonwovens apart from fabrics where the specifier indicates the end performance as having a low abrasion wear life. This document (EN ISO 12947-2:2016) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 38 "Textiles" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 248 "Textiles and textile products", the secretariat of which is held by BSI (United Kingdom). The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 062-05-21 AA "Physikalisch technologische Prüfverfahren für Textilien" ("Physical and technological test methods for textiles") at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP).
