Overview
This document (EN ISO 2440:1999/A2:2014) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 45 "Rubber and rubber products" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 249 "Plastics", the secretariat of which is held by NBN (Belgium). Working Committee NA 062-04-37 AA "Prüfung von Weich- und Hartschäumen" ("Testing of flexible and rigid cellular materials") at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP) is responsible for German participation in the translation of this document (DIN EN ISO 2440 + A1 + A2:2014). This document contains Amendment 2 to International Standard ISO 2440 which specifies the laboratory procedures for flexible and rigid cellular polymeric materials which are intended to imitate the effects of naturally occurring reactions such as oxidation or hydrolysis by humidity. The physical properties of interest are measured before and after the application of the specified treatments.
