DIN EN 15400
Solid recovered fuels - Determination of calorific value; German version EN 15400:2011
Feste Sekundärbrennstoffe - Bestimmung des Brennwertes; Deutsche Fassung EN 15400:2011
Overview
This standard specifies a method for the determination of gross calorific value of solid recovered fuels at constant volume and at the reference temperature 25 °C in a bomb calorimeter calibrated by combustion of certified benzoic acid. The standard is based on ISO 1928:1995 ("Solid mineral fuels - Determination of gross calorific value by the bomb calorimetric method and calculation of net calorific value") and EN 14918 ("Solid biofuels - Determination of calorific value") and was modified to solid recovered fuels with some additions and alterations specific to solid recovered fuels properties. The European standard has been prepared by CEN/TC 343 "Solid recovered fuels", the secretariat of which is held by SFS (Finland). The responsible German committee is Working Committee NA 062-05-83 AA "Sekundärbrennstoffe" ("Recovered fuels") of NMP.
