Overview
This standard specifies a method for the determination of total organic carbon extractable with water of an unused ion exchanger for the drinking water and food sector. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-08-95 AA "Prüfung von Ionenaustauschern" ("Testing of ion exchangers") at the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP) of DIN, the German Institute for Standardization e. V. It is based on the French preliminary standard T90-601:1988, which has been prepared by the AFNOR Standards Committee "Testing of ion exchanger resins".
