Lubricants and related materials - Classification of lubricants - Part 5: Processing media
Abstract
This document specifies the abbreviated designation of all processing media. The classification of the individual lubricant groups and the basic structure of the abbreviated designation for machining media in up to three designation blocks (A, B, C) is defined in DIN 51502-1. This document also specifies the labeling of packaging, containers, lubricant containers, lubrication devices, lubrication points and the information in product data sheets. The general international labeling of lubricants is defined in DIN ISO 6743-99. The specific international marking of processing media is defined in ISO 6743-7 and ISO 6743-14.
