Lubricants and related materials - Classification of lubricants - Part 2: Lubricants that mainly used in industry

Abstract

This document specifies the short designation of lubricating oils which are predominantly used in the industrial sector. The classification of the individual lubricant groups and the basic structure of the short designation for lubricating oils from the industrial sector in up to 3 designation blocks (A, B, C) is regulated in DIN 51502-1. This document also regulates the marking of packaging, containers, lubricant containers, lubrication equipment and lubrication points in order to avoid damage due to confusion when using lubricants and related substances.
