Classification methods for the evaluation of random vibrations - Part 2: Rainflow process
Abstract
With the rainflow method, a reversal point sequence can be broken down into oscillation cycles and the frequency of oscillation cycles with the same amplitude and the same mean value can be counted. The rainflow method can be applied to any single-channel measurement signals. Time or frequency-dependent influences and the influence of the signal curve between two reversal points are not recorded with the rainflow method.
