The committee NA 062-02-83 AA “Testing of solid fuels - coal, coke and pyrolysis products” develops standards for sampling and for chemical and physical test parameters for solid fuels - coal, coke and pyrolysis products. This does not include the standardization of biogenic solid fuels (responsible NA 062-05-82 AA) and secondary fuels (responsible NA 062-05-83 AA). The committee mirrors the work of ISO/TC 27 “Coal and Coke”, especially that of SC 3 “Coke”, SC 4 ‘Sampling’ and SC 5 “Methods of analysis” and adopts some of the content into the national body of standards, in some cases as an identical adoption (DIN ISO).
