Overview

The DIN EN 4531 series of standards describes the characteristics of optical circular connectors with screw coupling and flush contacts for aerospace applications. Part 201 specifies the performance and dimensions of optical PC profiled contact for singlemode 9 micrometres/125 micrometres fibre and (1,8 ± 0,1) mm diameter cable. The standards of the EN 4531 series are prepared by the ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrotechnology, with the participation of German experts from DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL). AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe - Standardization (ASD-STAN) has been declared responsible by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) for preparing European Standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. By agreement of 3 October 1986, ASD became the Associated Organization (ASB) of CEN. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-10 AA "LWL und LWL-Komponenten" ("Fibre optic cables and components") at DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
