Luft- und Raumfahrt - Elektrische Kontakte zur Verwendung in Verbindungselementen - Teil 070: Elektrische Stiftkontakte, Typ A, crimpbar, Klasse S - Produktnorm; Deutsche und Englische Fassung EN 3155-070:2014
Overview
The standards of the EN 3155 series describe electrical contacts for use in aerospace connectors. Part 070 defines the requirements, tests and tools for male electrical contacts, size 070, type A, crimp, class S, for use in connectors according to EN 3155-002. It shall be used together with EN 3155-001. The associated female contacts are defined in EN 3155-003, EN 3155-009 and EN 3155-071. The contacts defined by this standard are derived from those of SAE-AS39029/58 and intermateable with those of SAE-AS39029/56 and SAE-AS39029/57. The following changes have been made compared to DIN EN 3155-070:2009-07: a) Figures 2 and 3 with details for versions 2222 and 2220 have been added; b) in Table 1, a row with details for a size 22 contact together with a size 20 sleeve has been added, partially dimensions for a size 22 contact together with a size 22 sleeve have been changed; c) in Table 2, a row with details for a size 22 contact together with a size 20 sleeve has been added, the colour code marking according to SAE-AS39029/58 has been omitted; d) in Tables 3, 4, 5 and 6, one row each with information for a size 22 contact together with a size 20 sleeve has been included, in Table 5 the referenced tools have partly changed; e) in Table 7 the test according to EN 2591-403 has been extended, minimum values have been included for the test according to EN 2591-417; f) in the designation in Clause 5, only identification code M is still listed. The standards of the EN 3155 series are prepared by the ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrotechnology, with the participation of German experts from DIN Aerospace Standards Committee. AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe - Standardization (ASD-STAN) has been declared responsible by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) for preparing European Standards (EN) for the aerospace sector. The responsible German standardization body is Working Committee NA 131-04-03 AA "Electrical Connectors" at DIN Standards Committee Aerospace.
