Title (German)

Luft- und Raumfahrt - Optischer Rechtecksteckverbinder in modularer Bauweise, Betriebstemperatur 125 °C, für EN 4531-Kontakte - Teil 001: Technische Lieferbedingungen; Deutsche und Englische Fassung EN 4701-001:2013

Overview

The EN 4701 standard series describes various rectangular optical connectors, modular, for use on aerospace onboard applications, at an operating temperature of 125 °C. This family of fibre optic connectors is derived from EN 4165-001 and intended for removable optical modules using EN 4531 contacts. It provides easy access for optical contact end face cleaning. Part 001 specifies the general characteristics, the conditions for qualification, acceptance and quality assurance, as well as the test programs and groups for these rectangular connectors. The standards of the EN 4701 series have been prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrics, Avionics, with the participation of German experts of the Aerospace Standards Committee. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) declared the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD-STAN) responsible for the preparation of European standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-10 AA "LWL und LWL-Komponenten" ("LWL and LWL-components") of the Aerospace Standards Committee at DIN.
