DIN EN 4488
Aerospace series - Non-metallic materials - Anaerobic polymerisable compounds - Threadlocking - Torque strength 2 Nm; German and English version EN 4488:2013
Luft- und Raumfahrt - Nichtmetallische Werkstoffe - Anaerobe polymerisierbare Klebstoffe - Schraubensicherung - Torsionsfestigkeit 2 Nm; Deutsche und Englische Fassung EN 4488:2013
Overview
The document DIN EN 4488 is part of a series of EN non-metallic materials standards for aerospace applications. The general organisation of this series is described in EN 4385. This standard is a level 3 document as defined in EN 4385. It has been prepared in accordance with TR 7000-7. It gives the requirements relating to anaerobic polymerisable threadlocking compounds having a torque strength of 2 Nm for aerospace applications. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) declared the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD-STAN) responsible for the preparation of European standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. ASD became the associated body (ASB) of CEN by the agreement dated 1986-10-03. This document DIN EN 4488:2013 has been prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical Section Metallic Materials, with the participation of German experts of the Aerospace Standards Committee. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-02-02 AA "Klebstoffe/Kernwerkstoffe" ("Adhesives, core materials") at the Aerospace Standards Committee at DIN.
