DIN EN 3861
Aerospace series - Non-metallic materials - Glass transparencies - Material standard - Thermally tempered soda lime float glass; German and English version of EN 3861:2013
Luft- und Raumfahrt - Nichtmetallische Werkstoffe - Transparente Glaswerkstoffe - Werkstoffnorm - Thermisch vorgespanntes Kalk-Natron-Floatglas; Deutsche und Englische Fassung EN 3861:2013
Overview
The standard DIN EN 3861 describes requirements relating to universally available and high light transmission, thermally tempered float glass plies, for aerospace applications. The planned standard DIN EN 3861 is part of a series of EN non-metallic materials standards for aerospace applications. The general organisation of this series is described in EN 4385. This standard is intended to become a level 3 document as defined in EN 4385. It has been prepared in accordance with TR 7000-5. The underlying document DIN EN 3861:2013 has been prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical Section Metallic Materials, with the participation of German experts of the Aerospace Standards Committee. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) declared the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD-STAN) responsible for the preparation of European standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. ASD became the associated body (ASB) of CEN by the agreement dated 1986-10-03. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 131-02-01 AA "Faserverstärkte Kunststoffe" ("Fibre-reinforced plastics") at the Aerospace Standards Committee.
