Overview
The standards of the EN 3155 series describe electrical contacts in elements of connection which are used in aircraft. Part 035 specifies the required characteristics, tests and tooling applicable to female electrical triaxial contacts, size 08, type D, crimp, class R, used in elements of connection according to EN 3155-002. It should be used together with EN 3155-001. The associated male contacts are defined in EN 3155-034 and EN 3155-042. The electrical contacts described in this standard are derived from and interchangeable with those of standard SAE AS 39029/95. They are also interchangeable with those of standard EN 3155-043. The standards of the EN 3155 series have been prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrics, Avionics, with the participation of German experts of the Aerospace Standards Committee. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) declared the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD-STAN) responsible for the preparation of European standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-03 AA "Elektrische Verbindungselemente" ("Connector") of the Aerospace Standards Committee at DIN.
