Overview
This standard specifies the requirements relating to steel FE-PM1507 (X1CrNiMoAlTi12-11-2), vacuum induction melted and consumable electrode remelted, solution treated and precipitation treated bars, a or D ≤ 200 mm Rm ≥ 1 650 MPa, for aerospace applications. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) declared the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD-STAN) responsible for the preparation of European standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. ASD became the associated body (ASB) of CEN by the agreement dated 1986-10-03. The document EN 4657:2010 has been prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical Section Metallic Materials, with the participation of German experts of the Aerospace Standards Committee. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-01-01 AA "Stähle" ("Steels") of the Aerospace Standards Committee at DIN. According to Resolution 57/9 of Technical Committee of the advisory board of the Aerospace Standards Committee (NL) at DIN, the German Institute for Standardization, the European space industry standardization results shall be adopted into the German body of standards in both languages, German and English. Therefore, the English version is added to the German version of this document.
