Overview
The standards of the EN 2997 series describe electrical connectors, circular, coupled by threaded ring, fire-resistant or non fire-resistant, operating temperatures -65 °C to 175 °C continuous or 200 °C continuous, and 260 °C peak. Part 014 specifies the characteristics of square flange mounted receptacles with integrated accessory in the family of circular electrical connectors coupled by threaded ring. It applies to the defined classes WS, RS, S, SV and SE. For contacts and filler plugs associated with this receptacle, see EN 2997-002. For plugs, see EN 2997-008 and EN 2997-016 and EN 2997-009 for protective covers. This standard of the EN 2997 series has been prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrics, Avionics, with the participation of German experts of the Aerospace Standards Committee. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) declared the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD-STAN) responsible for the preparation of European standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-03 AA "Elektrische Verbindungselemente" ("Connector") of the Aerospace Standards Committee at DIN.
