DIN Standards Committee Aerospace

Overview

The standards of the EN 2997 series describe electrical connectors, circular, coupled by threaded ring, fire-resistant or non fire-resistant, operating temperatures -65 °C to 175 °C continuous or 200 °C continuous, 260 °C peak. Part 010 specifies the characteristics of protective covers for plugs in the family of circular electrical connectors coupled by threaded ring. It applies to the classes K, R, W and KE which are specified in the standard in Table 2. For plugs associated with these protective covers, see EN 2997-008. With regard to the previous version DIN EN 2997-010:2008-05, the inner diameter values F for the eyelet have been changed and a tolerance has been introduced. This standard of the EN 2997 standard series has been prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrics, Avionics, with the participation of German experts of the Aerospace Standards Committee. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) declared the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD-STAN) responsible for the preparation of European standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-03 AA "Elektrische Verbindungselemente" ("Connector") of the Aerospace Standards Committee at DIN.
