Overview
This European Standard defines the determination of energy indicators of district energy systems. District energy systems may be district heating, district cooling or other district energy carriers. Table 1 shows the relative position of this standard within the set of EPB standards in the context of the modular structure as set out in EN ISO 52000-1. In Germany, the Directive on the energy performance of buildings (2010/31/EU) of the European Parliament and the European Council is primarily implemented by national energy conservation law. National energy conservation law refers to dated national and European standards and national prestandards that have been specified to be implemented in Germany. Working Committee NA 041-05-01 AA "Energetische Bewertung gebäudetechnischer Anlagen (SpA ISO/TC 205 "Umweltgerechte Gebäudeplanung")" ("Energy efficiency of technical building systems (mirror committee ISO/TC 205 "Building environment design")") is responsible for the German version.
