DIN 4753-7
Water heaters, water heating installations and storage water heaters for drinking water - Part 7: Tanks with a capacity of up to 1000 l, requirements relating to manufacture, thermal insulation and corrosion protection
Overview
The standard has been prepared by NA 041-01-45 AA "Wassererwärmer (SpA CEN/TC 164/WG 10)" ("Water heaters (Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 164/WG 10)") at NHRS. It specifies requirements for the thermal insulation, corrosion protection and manufacture of unventilated (closed) storage water heaters for drinking water with a capacity of up to 1 000 l suitable for connection to a water supply system at a permissible operating pressure between 0,05 MPa and 1,0 MPa (0,5 bar and 10 bar) and fitted with control and safety devices designed such that the permissible operating temperature of the stored drinking water does not exceed 100 °C. It applies only for water heaters and water heating installations for drinking water in which the formation of an air or vapour cushion of more than 2 per cent of the contents, but no more than 10 l, is reliably prevented. At heating medium temperatures of over 110 °C, these installations fall into the scope of Directive 97/23/EC (Pressure Equipment Directive), which shall then be taken into account correspondingly. This standard contains specifications which are not covered by the title and scope of DIN EN 12897 "Water supply - Specification for indirectly heated unvented (closed) storage water heaters" and can be nationally regulated therewith.
