Wood preservatives - Determination of the protective effectiveness against Anobium punctatum (De Geer) by egg-laying and larval survival - Part 1: Application by surface treatment (Laboratory method); German version EN 49-1:2016
Holzschutzmittel - Bestimmung der vorbeugenden Wirkung gegenüber Anobium punctatum (De Geer) durch Beobachten der Eiablage und des Überlebens von Larven - Teil 1: Oberflächenverfahren (Laboratoriumsverfahren); Deutsche Fassung EN 49-1:2016
Overview
This European Standard specifies a method for the determination of the protective effectiveness or the toxic values of a wood preservative against infestation by Anobium punctatum (De Geer) when the product is applied as a surface treatment to wood. This method is applicable to water-insoluble chemicals which are being studied as active insecticides, organic formulations and organic water-dispersible formulations as well as water-soluble substances, for example salts. In comparison to DIN EN 49:2005-06, the material specifications for preparing the egg laying zones and the requirements for wood quality have been harmonized with other test standards. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 042-03-06 AA "Spiegelausschuss zu CEN/TC 38 und ISO/TC 165/SC 1 Dauerhaftigkeit von Holz und Holzprodukten" ("Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 38 and ISO/TC 165/SC 1 Durability of wood and wood-based products") at DIN.
