Furniture surfaces - Part 1: Behaviour at chemical influence
Möbeloberflächen - Teil 1: Verhalten bei chemischer Beanspruchung
Overview
This standard applies to information not contained in DIN EN 12720 regarding the assessment methods of furniture surfaces against chemical stresses and regarding rigid surfaces of surface-treated furniture independent of materials used, except for surfaces made of leather or textiles. Furthermore, this standard specifies the testing with the mentioned paste-like and solid test mediums which usually appear during stress imposed by practical use of furniture. If necessary, additional test mediums can be specified between the contracting parties. This standard serves the unified description of the behaviour of furniture surfaces during chemical stresses given in product standards or during an informative product marking. DIN 68861 "Furniture surfaces" consists of: - Part 1: Behaviour at chemical influence - Part 2: Behaviour at abrasion - Part 4: Behaviour at scratches - Part 6: Behaviour at glowing cigarette - Part 7: Behaviour subjection to dry heat - Part 8: Behaviour on subjection to wet heat The Committee responsible for this standard is Committee NA 042-05-08 GA "Gemeinschaftsarbeitsausschuss NHM/NAB: SpA zu CEN/TC 207/WG 7 Möbeloberflächen" ("Joint Working Committee NHM/NAB: Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 207/WG Furniture surfaces") at DIN.
