Overview
This product standard on collapsible plastic water hoses describes requirements for four types of textile-reinforced plastics hoses for general applications. The hoses can be used in a temperature range of -10 °C to +55 °C, whereby they are classified into low pressure, medium pressure, high pressure and extra-high pressure applications. Products used for fire-fighting or the conveyance of drinking water are excluded. This document has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 45 "Rubber and rubber products", SC 1 "Hoses" of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been adopted by Technical Committee CEN/TC 218 "Rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies". The responsible national Standards Committee is NA 045-02-12 AA "Schläuche" ("Hoses") of the Rubber Technology Standards Committee (FAKAU).
